States raise Rs 16,750 crore through SGS auction
Mumbai, Sept. 22 -- State governments raised Rs 16,750 crore through the auction of State Government Securities (SGS) on 22 September 2026, with the entire notified amount accepted. The auction saw participation from Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Punjab and Rajasthan.
Andhra Pradesh raised Rs 2,600 crore through two re-issues. The state raised Rs 1,000 crore through the re-issue of 7.56% Andhra Pradesh SGS 2039 at a cut-off yield of 7.8793%. It also raised Rs 1,600 crore through the re-issue of 7.68% Andhra Pradesh SGS 2051 at a cut-off yield of 7.8874%.
Goa raised Rs 150 crore through a fresh 15-year security at a cut-off yield of 7.88%.
