Mumbai, Oct. 26 -- The key equity benchmarks hovered around the flat line in mid-morning trade on Monday as investors remained cautious amid the ongoing Q2 earnings season. The Nifty traded above the 22,600 level, indicating a lack of strong directional cues in the market.

Metal shares witnessed value buying after declining for four consecutive trading sessions

At 11:25 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex advanced 31.28 points or 0.04% to 73,155.11. The Nifty 50 index added 7.70 points or 0.03% to 22,607.70.

The broader market outperformed the frontline indices. The Nifty MidCap 150 Index rose 0.16% and the Nifty SmallCap 250 Index jumped 0.26%.
