Mumbai, Sept. 7 -- According to the media reports, PVR Inox asked a senior executive to leave in April. The move followed an internal investigation into alleged kickbacks of up to Rs 200 crore from developers involved in building cinema properties.

Pramod Arora, the company's former chief executive officer for growth and investment, was asked to leave with immediate effect. A few others were also asked to leave, reports added.

The reports said the probe sought to determine the extent of the alleged wrongdoing. It also looked into whether others were involved. The company's board has discussed the matter in recent meetings, reports added.
