Mumbai, Oct. 14 -- COMEX gold is steadying under $4200 mark on Wednesday morning in Asia amid cautious trades ahead of US inflation data. New York Federal Reserve President John Williams noted that while he maintains his view that one more rate hike may be appropriate this year, he does not foresee additional rate increases in 2027. Moreover, geopolitical tensions remained a key focus as oil prices extended their gains amid escalating hostilities between Saudi Arabia and Iran-backed Houthi rebels, intensifying concerns over potential Middle East supply disruptions. Currently, the yellow metal is quoting at $4184.90 an ounce, up 0.19% on the day. Silver is holding below $60 an ounce mark.
