Mumbai, Aug. 26 -- COMEX gold and silver are seen extending recent streak of gains on Wednesday morning in Asia as dollar pulled back after having briefly spiked above 99 mark in the previous session. US inflation data and Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh's speech at the Jackson Hole Symposium later this week will be closely watched for further clarity on Fed rate stance going forward. Meanwhile, the US Treasury's decision to double liquidity-support buyback operations for longer-dated notes and bonds, which helped push the dollar to a more than three-month low last week will also be monitored. Currently, the yellow metal is holding above $4700 mark while silver futures are up nearly 1% at $69.29 per ounce.
