Mumbai, Sept. 16 -- COMEX gold jumps from a one-month low on Wednesday morning in Asia even as US treasury yields soar ahead of Fed interest rate decision. The benchmark 10-year US Treasury yield note rose to its highest since 2007, reaching 5.041%. The yellow metal is up by over 1% at $4377.50 an ounce and silver is holding gains near critical support levels at $65.24 per ounce, up 2.16% on the day. Surging energy costs that are fueling inflation concerns amid widening supply disruptions in the Middle East are also seen pressuring precious metals. The Fed interest rate decision on Wednesday will be closely monitored for further cues.
