PhysicsWallah posts narrower Q1 loss as EBITDA turns positive
Mumbai, Aug. 17 -- On a consolidated basis, loss for the period narrowed to Rs 88 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 127 crore in Q1 FY26 and Rs 69 crore in Q4 FY26. Revenue from operations increased 24% YoY and 14.7% QoQ to Rs 1,054 crore in Q1 FY27.
Profit before tax narrowed to a loss of Rs 84 crore in Q1 FY27 from a loss of Rs 152 crore in Q1 FY26 and Rs 81 crore in Q4 FY26.
Total expenses increased 17.2% YoY and 20.6% QoQ to Rs 1,098 crore. Direct expenses and inventory movement increased 13.5% YoY to Rs 236 crore. Employee benefits expense (ex-ESOP) increased 17.8% YoY to Rs 489 crore. Other expenses increased 19.4% YoY to Rs 302 crore.
