Mumbai, May 7 -- NTPC has signed an agreement with Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and NTPC EDMC Waste Solutions (NEWS) on 7 May 2026 for termination of joint venture agreement dated 11 June 2019 and acquisition of MCD's 26% shareholding (52,000 equity shares) in NEWS . With this acquisition, NEWS shall become the wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC.
