Mumbai, Sept. 10 -- The domestic equity benchmarks traded with minor cuts in the mid-afternoon trade. The Nifty traded below the 23,450 mark. Auto shares extended losses for the second consecutive trading session.

At 14:30 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex declined 40.17 points or 0.06% to 74,728.45. The Nifty 50 index declined 16.15 points or 0.07% to 23,416.50.

In the broader market, the BSE 150 MidCap Index fell 0.39% and the BSE 250 SmallCap Index added 0.06%.

The market breadth was negative. On the BSE, 1,869 shares rose and 2,358 shares fell. A total of 230 shares were unchanged.

Buzzing Index:

The Nifty Auto index declined 0.45% to 27,527.90. The index fell 0.82% in two consecutive trading sessions.
