Mumbai, Oct. 19 -- The key equity benchmarks traded with modest cuts in early trade. The Nifty traded below the 22,050 mark. Barring PSU bank, all other sectoral indices traded in the red on the NSE.

At 09:30 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex tanked 458.02 points or 0.63% to 74,260.66. The Nifty 50 index lost 116.65 points or 0.50% to 23,029.50.

In the broader market, the BSE 150 MidCap Index declined 0.47% and the BSE 250 SmallCap Index fell 0.73%.

The market breadth was weak. On the BSE, 1,077 shares rose and 2,137 shares fell. A total of 218 shares were unchanged.
