Mumbai, Aug. 28 -- Domestic equities enter the week of 31 August-4 September 2026 on a cautious footing. The Nifty 50 held the 24,100 mark, while the Sensex has closed above 77,250 level. Both indices are facing their fourth consecutive weekly decline. Elevated crude prices, geopolitical concerns and uncertainty over global interest rates remain the key headwinds.

The 24,000-23,950 zone is likely to remain crucial for the Nifty. Analysts see 24,000 as immediate support, with a break below this level potentially opening the way towards 23,800. On the upside, 24,200-24,300 is the first resistance zone, followed by 24,400. A sustained move above 24,400 would improve the technical setup.
