Mumbai, Jan. 6 -- COMEX Copper broke above $6 per pound while LME Copper scaled up above $13000 per tonne to hit record highs amid mining worries. A strike that began on January 2 at the Mantoverde copper mine in Chile is putting pressure on Capstone Copper. Around 96% of the members of Mantoverde Union No. 2, approved the strike to demand wage adjustments and variable bonuses.
