Mumbai, Oct. 7 -- COMEX Copper saw modest gains but overall price action was tight as geopolitical worries weighed on sentiments. Equities fell today despite firm cues from US markets in overnight trades. In Asia, Japan's Nikkei average slipped 0.92%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng dipped 0.62%. European stocks slumped with German DAX melting 1.25%. The US equities hit record high as excitement around artificial intelligence continues to fuel a buying frenzy on Wall Street. This supported Copper as the red metal hit one-week high near $6.70 per pound. Lack of cues from Chinese markets, which are shut this week due to public holidays, is capping upmove in Copper.
