Mumbai, April 2 -- India's defence exports have reached an all-time high of Rs 38,424 crore in the financial year 2025-26, registering a significant increase of Rs 14,802 crore (62.66%) compared to Rs 23,622 crore in the previous year.

Both Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs) and private companies contributed to this growth, with DPSUs accounting for 54.84% and the private sector contributing 45.16%. In value terms, DPSUs exported defence equipment worth Rs 21,071 crore, while private firms contributed Rs 17,353 crore. In FY 2024-25, these figures were Rs 8,389 crore for DPSUs and Rs 15,233 crore for private players.
