India's 10-year bond yield hits three-week high
Mumbai, July 14 -- Domestic government bond yields rose sharply today, bouncing in tune with surge in global crude oil prices. Elevated consumer and wholesale price trends also weighed on sentiments. The 6.94 GS 2026 yield closed at 6.79%, adding around 6 basis points on the day.Yields are near three-week high. US Treasury yields moved up on expectations for Federal Reserve interest rate hikes in coming months. The 10-year Treasury yield is at 4.63%, holding near two-month high. Investors are also awaiting key US inflation data and Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh's testimony before Congress later today for fresh clues on the interest rate outlook.
