Mumbai, Oct. 21 -- Natural Gas futures slumped this week, breaking under $3 per mmbtu mark on worries over mild weather in the US reducing domestic space-heating demand. Media reports are highlighting above-normal temperatures across key US heating markets through late October, curbing heating degree days and delaying seasonal residential space-heating demand. This has consistently pulled the Natural Gas futures in last few days and the benchmark futures melted more than 3% yesterday. The counter currently trades at $2.94 per mmbtu, down half a percent on the day and hovering around three-week low. MCX Natural Gas futures are also trading lower at Rs 280.70 per mmbtu, down 0.88% on the day.
