Government raises Rs 34,000 crore through 6.94% GS 2036 auction; bids exceed Rs 82,000 crore
Mumbai, Aug. 28 -- The government raised Rs 34,000 crore through the auction of the 6.94% GS 2036 on Friday, with the security attracting strong investor demand. Competitive bids worth Rs 82,151.76 crore were received against the notified amount of Rs 34,000 crore, implying subscription of about 2.42 times.
The bond was accepted at a cut-off price of Rs 100.17, translating into a cut-off yield of 6.9136%. The weighted average price stood at Rs 100.18, with a weighted average yield of 6.9122%.
A total of 117 competitive bids amounting to Rs 33,995.60 crore were accepted. Partial allotment at the cut-off stood at 97.94%, with 47 bids receiving partial allotments.
