Mumbai, Aug. 14 -- The government raised Rs 32,000 crore through the auction of four government securities on Friday, with the new GS 2033 attracting the strongest demand among the securities on offer. There was no devolvement on primary dealers.

The auction comprised Rs 11,000 crore each of the new GS 2029 and new GS 2033, and Rs 5,000 crore each of the 7.24% GS 2055 and 7.50% Government of India Sovereign Green Bond (SGrB) 2056.

The new GS 2029 attracted competitive bids worth Rs 23,784 crore against the notified amount of Rs 11,000 crore, implying subscription of about 2.16 times. The cut-off yield stood at 6.20%, while the weighted average yield was 6.1835%.
