Government raises Rs 32,000 crore through auction of two securities
Mumbai, Sept. 4 -- The Government of India raised a total of Rs 32,000 crore through the auction of two government securities on 4 September 2026.
The government raised Rs 21,000 crore through the New GS 2031. It received 137 competitive bids amounting to Rs 49,886 crore and accepted 76 bids worth Rs 20,996.82 crore.
The cut-off price for the New GS 2031 was Rs 100, translating into a yield of 6.5300%. The weighted average price was Rs 100.06, with a weighted average yield of 6.5163%.
For the 7.71% GS 2066, the government raised Rs 11,000 crore. It received 241 competitive bids worth Rs 34,980 crore and accepted 72 bids amounting to Rs 10,986.68 crore.
