Mumbai, July 17 -- The Reserve Bank of India on Friday raised Rs 32,000 crore through the auction of government securities, with strong investor demand for the 6.03% GS 2029, 6.68% GS 2033 and 7.24% GS 2055 bonds.

The RBI had notified Rs 11,000 crore each for the 6.03% GS 2029 and 6.68% GS 2033 securities, along with Rs 10,000 crore for the 7.24% GS 2055 bond.

The 6.03% GS 2029 attracted 111 competitive bids worth Rs 25,919 crore against the notified amount of Rs 11,000 crore. The cut-off price was set at Rs 99.61, translating into a yield of 6.1988%.

The weighted average price stood at Rs 99.69, while the weighted average yield came in at 6.1640%. The RBI accepted 62 competitive bids amounting to Rs 10,996.36 crore. Eleven bids at the...
