Mumbai, Sept. 25 -- Gold traded above $4,300 an ounce on Friday but remained on track for a weekly decline of more than 2%, pressured by a firmer dollar, rising oil prices and higher Treasury yields that strengthened expectations for further Fed rate hikes. The dollar index slipped below 101 but was still poised for a 1% weekly gain, trading near a two-month high and heading for a second straight weekly advance. US jobless claims unexpectedly fell by 1,000 to 197,000, highlighting continued labour-market resilience, while investors awaited consumer sentiment and durable goods data for fresh economic signals. MCX October gold futures edged 0.4% higher at Rs.151,262 per 10 grams.
