Euro sinks to lowest since March 2025
Mumbai, Sept. 30 -- The euro fell sharply yesterday, adding to recent losses and testing around 1.1350 mark against the US dollar, recording its lowest level since May 2025. Soaring US yields and lax risk appetite recently supported the US currency. Markets have been pricing further Federal Reserve rate hikes and EUR/USD pair has been drifting lower after a break under 1.1600 mark in the middle of this month. The pair currently quotes at 1.1392, up marginally on the day but still down around 2% for the month. On NSE, EUR/INR futures are up marginally at 109.49 after testing 109.20 mark in early trades.
