Mumbai, Sept. 2 -- Crude oil futures shot up on Wednesday morning in Asia amid fresh signs of tensions between US and Iran that is disrupting oil supplies. As per latest reports, US forces struck Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targets in retaliation for attempted attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and on American service members in the region. Meanwhile, Iran said it launched heavy ballistic missile and drone attacks on US-linked targets in Jordan and the UAE. Currently, WTI crude oil futures are quoting at $90.76 per barrel, up 0.60% on the day while Brent is up 0.80% at $95.41 per barrel at the time of writing.
