Mumbai, Sept. 11 -- Wholesale inventories in the United States rose by 1.3% in July compared to June's revised figure and stood at $958.9 billion, the US Census Bureau revealed in a report released on Thursday. Total inventories climbed by 5.7% compared to the same month in the previous year.

The sales of merchant wholesalers, adjusted for seasonal variations and trading-day differences but not for price changes, increased by 0.8% in the reported month compared to June to reach $801.3 billion in the reported month, advancing by 13% compared to the revised figure from July 2025.

Based on seasonally adjusted data, the inventory-to-sales ratio stood at 1.20, dipping from 1.28 in the same month of the previous year.
