Mumbai, June 4 -- New orders for manufactured goods in the United States stood at $662.7 billion in April, rising 4.8% month-over-month, data from the US Census Bureau showed on Wednesday.
Shipments increased by 1% or $6.3 billion compared to March, landing at $641 billion, while unfilled orders improved by 1.7% or $26.8 billion to $1.5 trillion.
Inventories amounted to $959.1 billion, going up 0.3% or $2.4 billion on a monthly basis. The inventories-to-shipments ratio stood at 1.50, slightly down compared to the previous month.
