Mumbai, Aug. 12 -- Existing home sales in the United States declined by 1.7% month on month in July to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.06 million, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) said in a report released on Tuesday. On a yearly basis, the sales improved by 0.7%.

The median existing-home sales price for all housing types climbed by 2% annually to $434,100 in the reported month. Total housing inventory at the end of July stood at 1.54 million units, falling by 1.9% from June and down by 0.6% year-on-year.
