Mumbai, July 24 -- Retail sales volume in the United Kingdom saw a yearly rise of 4.2% in June, the country's Office for National Statistics said in its report published on Friday.
On a monthly basis, the figure advanced by 1%, as non-store retailing recorded a 4.4% increase in sales in the reported month, followed by textile, clothing, and footwear stores, up 1.9%, and other non-food stores, up 1.8%. On the other hand, department store sales fell 1.7%, and automotive fuel sales declined 0.% in June compared to the previous month.
In the three months to June 2026, retail sales volume rose by 0.6% compared to the previous three-month period and by 2.8% compared to the same period in 2025.
