Mumbai, May 14 -- UK industrial production declined by 0.2% month-on-month in March 2026, reversing February's revised 0.3% gain as weakness in mining, quarrying, and energy supply weighed on overall output. However, manufacturing production rebounded by 1.2%, reaching a four-month high supported by stronger transport equipment, metal products, and pharmaceutical activity. On an annual basis, industrial output remained flat, while overall industrial production rose 0.2% during the first quarter of 2026.
