Mumbai, Aug. 13 -- Production output in the United Kingdom declined 0.2% in June, month on month, the Office for National Statistics revealed in its report on Thursday.
Main contributors to the monthly fall were: manufacturing, which decreased 0.5%, electricity and gas, which edged down 0.3%, and water supply and sewerage, which tumbled 1.5%. This was somewhat offset by growth in mining and quarrying, with the sector up 5.1%.
In the April to June quarter, production output stood flat compared to the previous three-month period.
