Mumbai, Aug. 10 -- Japan's bank lending growth eased to 5.4% year-on-year in July, falling short of market forecasts of 5.7%, according to data released by the Bank of Japan. This marks a slight deceleration from the previous month's pace. The Bank of Japan's monthly statistics on loans and discounts outstanding revealed that total bank lending, including trusts, rose 5.4% in July compared to the same period last year.
