Mumbai, March 31 -- Japan's unemployment rate landed at 2.6% in February on a monthly seasonally adjusted basis, according to a report by the nation's Statistics Bureau, released on Tuesday.
The figure surprised investors' expectations, shrinking slightly from last month's jobless rate of 2.7%.
The ratio of job openings went up to 1.19, from last month's 1.18, which indicates a slight increase in labor demand.
