Mumbai, June 8 -- Japan's services sector sentiment rose to 43.6 in May 2026 from 40.8, marking its highest level since February and indicating improving business confidence. The rise was mainly supported by stronger household-related demand, especially in food and beverage services. The outlook index also increased to 43.8, suggesting firms expect conditions to stabilize in the coming months despite ongoing global tensions.
