Mumbai, Sept. 3 -- Japan's service sector continued to expand solidly in August, surprising investors' expectations, according to a report released by S&P Global on Thursday.
The seasonally adjusted Japan Services Business Activity Index rose to 52.5 from 51.2 in July, staying above the neutral 50 mark that separates growth from contraction. The reading was also higher than the preliminary estimate of 52.3.
