Economic Buzz: Japan GDP expands by 0.4% in Q2

Mumbai, Sept. 8 -- Japan's economy expanded by 0.4% in the second quarter compared with the previous three-month period, revised up from an initial estimate of 0.3%, the Cabinet Office said.

On an annualized basis, GDP grew 1.4%, revised up from the preliminary estimate of 1.1%. The GDP deflator, which measures price changes across the economy, remained at 2.6% year on year.
