Economic Buzz: Global manufacturing output eases for second month
Mumbai, Aug. 4 -- July saw the upturns in global manufacturing production and new orders sustained, and the fastest rise in employment since June 2024. The overall improvement in manufacturing conditions was the softest in four months, however, and the outlook remained weaker than at the start of 2026. The J.P.Morgan Global Manufacturing PMI - a composite index produced by J.P.Morgan and S&P Global Market Intelligence in association with ISM and IFPSM - posted 52.1 in July, down from 52.2 in June, falling for the second successive month and to its lowest level since March.
