Mumbai, Aug. 14 -- Germany's wholesale prices accelerated to 5.3% year-on-year in July 2026 from 4.9% in June, marking the 20th consecutive month of wholesale price inflation. The renewed acceleration was largely driven by higher energy products and raw materials amid ongoing Middle East hostilities, with non-ferrous ores, metals and semi-finished products surging 27.8% and mineral oil products rising 24.1%. On a monthly basis, wholesale prices edged up 0.2%, reversing June's 0.7% decline and signalling a renewed pickup in underlying price pressures.
