Mumbai, March 2 -- Germany's retail sales declined 0.9% month-on-month in January 2025, reversing a revised 1.2% increase in December, as non-food sales fell 1.7%. Food sales were unchanged, while online and mail-order sales rose 2.5%. On an annual basis, retail trade increased 1.2%, easing from December's revised 2.5% gain. Retail sales were up 2.7% in 2025, indicating underlying resilience despite the monthly pullback.
