Mumbai, July 9 -- The German trade surplus amounted to €19.1 billion in May, up from April's €14.7 billion and €18.8 billion registered in May 2025, the country's Federal Statistical Office Destatis revealed in a report on Thursday.
The country's calendar and seasonally adjusted exports stood at €137.9 billion, increasing 0.9% on a monthly level and 6.1% year over year. Imports stood at €118.8 billion, down 2.5% month on month but up 6.9% on an annual level.
Exports to the European Union fell by 1.1% in May compared to April, coming in at €78.3 billion, while imports declined 2.5% to €59.5 billion. Exports to the non-EU countries jumped 3.6% month on month to €59.6 billion, while imports dec...
