Mumbai, June 9 -- The German trade surplus stood at €14.5 billion in April, down from the adjusted €14.7 billion recorded in March, the country's Federal Statistical Office Destatis revealed in its report on Tuesday.

According to the report, exports totaled €136.6 billion, up 0.9% from the previous month and 3.6% from the same month last year. Imports increased by 1.2% monthly to €122.1 billion, and 6.2% annually.

In April, Germany's calendar and seasonally adjusted exports to EU member states reached €79.1 billion, while imports from these countries stood at €61 billion. Meanwhile, exports to non-EU countries amounted to €57.5 billion, and imports from these countries totaled €61.1 billion....
