Mumbai, June 19 -- Producer prices in Germany rose by 2.2% in May compared to the same month in the previous year, the country's statistical office Destatis revealed in its report on Friday. The figure increased by 0.3% compared to April.

The annual rise in producer prices in the reported month was mainly attributed to an increase in intermediate goods, which climbed by 4.2% year-on-year, followed by energy prices, which advanced by 2.5% compared to May 2025. Capital goods and durable consumer goods both grew by 2% on an annual basis, while non-durable consumer goods declined by 1.7%.
