Mumbai, Sept. 21 -- The German economy is expected to grow in the third quarter of the year, but only slightly, the Bundesbank estimated in its latest monthly report released on Monday.
The Bundesbank underscored the impact of low water levels, a consequence of the drought, on industrial production and sales, as well as on increased transport costs. However, the report also noted a recovery in construction and a more stable labor market.
The Bundesbank also projected that inflation, which rose in August and September amid the crisis in the Middle East, would likely stay "elevated for the time being."
