Mumbai, Sept. 25 -- Germany's GfK Consumer Climate Indicator slid to -30.6 heading into October 2026 from a revised -26.8 in September, marking its weakest reading since May. The sharper deterioration was led by income expectations, which plunged 16.7 points to -15.0, their lowest since April, as households increasingly feared elevated energy costs would erode purchasing power.
