Mumbai, Aug. 14 -- The goods trade surplus in the euro area widened to €8.6 billion in June, up from €4.8 billion a year ago and a €9 billion deficit in May, according to a Eurostat report released on Friday. Exports stood at €272.5 billion, up 14.4% year-on-year, while imports grew by 13.1% to €264 billion. In the European Union, the trade surplus was estimated at €3.9 billion, down from €5.2 billion in June 2025.
