Mumbai, July 16 -- The Eurozone's international trade deficit in goods stood at €7.8 billion in May, down from a deficit of €1.2 billion in April and lower than the €15 billion surplus recorded a year earlier, the European Commission's statistical office Eurostat said on Thursday. In the European Union, the deficit came in at €12.1 billion, compared to a surplus of €12.7 billion in May 2025.

In the euro area, exports rose 0.1% year-on-year to €243.6 billion, while imports rose 10% to €251.4 billion.
