Mumbai, Jan. 22 -- Australia's labour market strengthened in December 2025, with the unemployment rate easing to 4.1% from 4.3% in November. Employment rose sharply by 65,200 to a record 14.68 million, driven mainly by a solid increase in full-time jobs, while the number of unemployed people fell to a seven-month low. Participation edged higher, underemployment declined, and total hours worked increased, pointing to improved labour market conditions overall.
