Mumbai, July 29 -- Australia's consumer price index (CPI) climbed 3.8% in the 12 months to June, dropping from the 4% registered in the previous month, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) said on Wednesday.

The monthly CPI indicator dropped 0.1% in June, while the trimmed mean, a measure of underlying inflation, was 3.6% in the year to June, unchanged from the figure in the 12 months to May.
