Mumbai, Oct. 22 -- Indian Rupee slipped today after recording impressive gains in the last session. Even as a broader equity market remained under pressure, the Indian currency put up a strong performance, marking its best close in about six weeks. The rupee jumped around half a percent to close at 94.45 against the US dollar. However, firm crude oil prices and weak equities weighed on it today and the INR slipped modestly to 94.50 per US dollar in morning trades today.
