Mumbai, Oct. 6 -- Copper saw mixed moves today after impressive surge in last session. The metal is currently trading down marginally at $6.63 per pound after 1.4% spike yesterday as focus stayed primarily on global equities. Asian stocks moved up modestly. The Nikkei average gained 1%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng also recorded similar gains. Mainland China stock markets are closed from October 1 to October 7, 2026, for the National Day Golden Week. European stocks rose with major indices adding more than half a percent. In overnight trades, the Nasdaq jumped 1.1% to 27,477.31, the S&P 500 advanced 0.7% to 7,773.95 and the Dow rose 0.2% to 51,267.90.
