Mumbai, Aug. 17 -- Precious metals speculators increased their net long position in the Gold futures sharply, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Gold futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totalled a net position of 217940 contracts in the data reported through August 11, 2026, rising 20306 contracts from the previous week. The net longs have moved up near six-month high.
