Mumbai, Aug. 10 -- Base metal speculators sharply cut their longs in the Copper futures market, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Copper futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds and retailers totalled a net long position of 77123 contracts in the data reported through August 4, 2026, rising by 9842 contracts and hitting around seven-week high.
